Genesis of HAT

Prior to 2006 HACG was part of Oxfordshire Art Weeks but being on the periphery never quite worked so two members of the Guild Committee, Kate Findlay and Judith Fletcher with member Kirsten Jones decided to set up the Henley Art Trail.

The very first HAT was aided by a start up grant from the Henley Town Council and took place in 2006 with 16 venues in and around Henley. The link between HACG and HAT is maintained and a prerequisite of joining HAT is that each venue has a Guild member exhibiting.

HAT has come a long way in those 11 years and this year sees 32 venues taking part.
