I have been making ceramics for 10 years now, including a 3 year BA Honours Ceramics degree at Bucks New University (High Wycombe).  I enjoy making both vessel based objects (mainly pots) and abstract sculpture.  My inspiration largely comes from 20th Century artists, particularly Hans Coper, Barbara Hepworth and Anthony Caro – also from the work of many of the Far Eastern ceramicists from Korea, Japan and China.  I love to wander around the ceramic galleries of the V&A and British Museums.

I have my own studio and kiln at home, so I’m free to make what I want and experiment. I’m happy to learn from my mistakes!

My Style

I aim for exciting watercolours but it is so hard!

Acrylic gives me more success and I am moving towards abstraction (slowly).
