I have only joined HACG very recently and so am in the process of finding my feet.  I have spent over 30 years teaching and lecturing photography in Cornwall but made a radical change on retirement moving from 2 dimensional work to 3 through my passion for woodturning. I have exhibited regularly and am constantly exploring new ways of working with wood, often incorporating metal and more recently colour.

My Style

I aim to explore the natural forms and patterns found in different types of wood looking all the time for the distorted and unusual. I particularly enjoy producing hollowed forms often inlaid with brass rod and carved to explore the natural shapes found in the wood.  Carved turned forms with airbrushed colours are a more recent departure which I am still exploring.
