I have been a member of HACG for many years but only started attending workshops and exhibiting work at Guild Exhibitions since retiring from teaching in 2012. I have never been formally trained but over many years I have taken drawing, painting and even ceramics classes. Holidays at the St Ives School of Painting gave me confidence and I finally joined the Guild at a friend’s kind suggestion.Membership of the Guild has taught me so much and I have many members of the Committee to thank for their encouragement and also for welcoming me onto the Committee – I initially offered to help with some printing of posters…… fatal!

My Style

I aim for exciting watercolours but it is so hard!

Acrylic gives me more success and I am moving towards abstraction (slowly).
